These non-invasive studies are performed at the doctor’s office. Some require scheduling ahead of time, others may be performed at the same time as a patient’s appointment with the doctor. The results of these studies help to determine whether or not a patient should proceed with further coronary procedures. They also aid the physician in monitoring a patient’s progress after a procedure or starting new medications.
